Runescape League, Trailblazer starts Today

The two-month long competition gets underway, and is celebrated with the release of Old School’s first ever music video!

The fast-paced world of Old School RuneScape’s Leagues returns today with the launch of Leagues II – Trailblazer, across both PC and mobile. This is the second season of the critically acclaimed series introduced last year with the inaugural Twisted League.

Heralding the arrival of TrailblazerOld School RuneScape premiered its first music video, ‘Trailblazerz’, featuring major content creators J1mmy & 9Rain; now playing here:

Trailblazer runs from today through to January 6th, 2021, and offers an alternative fast-paced Old School experience. Players looking to conquer Trailblazer enter the League in Misthalin, the area where all new players begin. As an Ironmen or Ironwoman, the new League mechanic sees players choose which regions to unlock as they progress. But think carefully – minds cannot be changed once a decision is made, and players are limited to just three choices.

Those that embark on this new adventure will need to earn points by completing tasks to unlock Relics, which are different in each area. These Relics provide powerful buffs and modifiers to the player’s character, presenting the best chance of competing to earn the exclusive achievements and rewards on offer. Additionally, a new HiScore table allows players to claim fame and bragging rights throughout the competition.

Trailblazer will run from today through to January 6th, 2021 in Old School RuneScape. Whether competing or spectating, players can follow the Trailblazer League here.

Rob Hendry, Executive Producer of Old School RuneScape, said:

“Following the success of last year’s Twisted League, which received an overwhelmingly positive response from the community and saw players diving into its varied challenges, we’re excited to bring a whole new adventurous twist on the Old School experience with Leagues II – Trailblazer. With gameplay enhancements, advancements and additions, we’re confident that both our community and new players alike will find their time in the Trailblazer League an exhilarating one”.
